Introducing Tai Chi Chuan

Starting March 2nd, DAO Holistic Wellness will be offering a Tai Chi Chuan class with our friends at One Being Wellness Revolution. The class will take place over a 6 week session, Monday nights at 5:15 PM.


Tai Chi is an Internal Martial Art, cultivating balance, stillness, and the use of softness and intention over force and power. Tai Chi also develops internal energy, Qi, and can be relaxing for the mind and spirit.


The style of Tai Chi Chuan taught is from the Cheng Manching lineage, we will start out teaching the basic moves and postures, before tying them together into the first third of the form. The First Third is taught as a training form before moving on to the whole 37 move form.


The Cheng Manching form is a derivative of the Yang style family. It emphasizes complete internal control and the utmost softness.


If you have ever been interested in learning Tai Chi Chuan this class will be an excellent way to begin.
